Research Focus
We take bioresources as inspiration to design and synthesize our functional nanomaterials (carbon nanomaterials, fluorescent nanomaterials, metallic nanomaterials, polymeric nanomaterials, nanoemulsions etc.) and biomaterials (nanocellulose, lignin nanotubes etc.). We are a group of interdisciplinary people and focussed towards;
(a) Development of anti-amyloidogenic and fibril destabilization nanomaterials and their mechanism studies to combat neurodegeneration
(b) Anti-bacterial/anti-biofilm nanomaterials and their mechanism studies to combat antibiotic resistance
(c) Nanozymes as Point of Care (PoC) diagnostics for responsive biomedical applications, biosensing and immunoassay
(d) Nanomaterial-Protein/Cell interactions and their implications in determining the efficacy of nanomedicine
(e) Nanotechnological interventions to enhance the bioavailability of bioactive
